Song Within My Soul

Richard starts his CD, "Songs Within My Soul" with a ravishing love song, about hopes and dreams.

Richard's voice really shines on "Tell Me Why" and contains some really "true to life" lyrics in it. ..."It's hard to believe, that you can't feel the pain from the lessons that you have ignored." This line is so realistic!

Another slow number is "Nobody Knows". In this one, Richard wrote about living the dreams of a musician; and how they plan on handling fame. Follow your drreams, which no one knows where it will take you because no one can tell you what tomorrow will bring. The lyrics on this tune are phenomenal!!

The instruments on "You Are the Show" are amazing!

"Reasons" is a slow melody about hope of a lost love. He is trying to decide if he has lost the love of his life. At one time or another, most of us have had a love that we did not understand why we would hold onto it, but there were reasons. "I search for a reason to call you at home, I yearn just to hear your sweet voice on the phone..." Isn't this one line we can all relate? I am really impressed with this man's lyrics!

In "Prairie Life", Richard is trying to discover where he belongs in life. I believe, he is trying to pick up the beat in the song as well as, in a broken relationship.

The next tune "Soul of Me (Franke's Song)" is about the unique love a father has for his son. "The reason I am me, with you would seem so complete." Remarkable!!
The rhythm on "Highway" is impressive! It is about moving on with life. "Highway" is another ditty that Richard's voice shines on.

The next tune is my favorite. It touches situations that most of us don't talk about, "I Cry Too". GREAT song! "Please remember...I cry too. There's a reason for the anger, this is the reason for the things you say to me... and if through time, I must leave you, you can always count on me to be your friend!" In this song, you can feel the pain that Richard sings about when someone he loves hurts. Sad song with hope, no one should have to live in such pain. Everyone needs a friend, who is there for him or her. This song is one that I cherish. It will touch the hearts of everyone who hears it.

"Lost in Time" is an exquisite love song that opens with some astonishing lyrics, "...Never saw such a beautiful sight, Heaven just sent an angel my way..."

Another song about the troubles of teenage drug abuse. Listen to what Richard has to say! "A taste of you is all it took for me, Now, I am finding hard to letting it go." "Leave it alone, stand on your own, why test your faith to unknowns, you should know, don't ride the thrill, find your own will, take control, learn to stand on your own." To me, it is not worth the chance to try it.

Richard saves the best for last, "Chance". "Chance" starts off with an excellent introduction full of percussion. It also talks about relationships and the risks that are involved.

I was impressed. This man is a keeper in my opinion!
