HotDisc 97 REACTIONS - RUN LIKE THE RIVER
Your song has already been to #32 in the Hotdisc Most Popular Tracks Chart as voted for by the most influential DJs in Europe and some even further afield. Only the elite tracks from the recent Hotdiscs deemed good enough by the DJs get into this chart on merit so this is a great achievement; and there are many major label acts in the Top 40 too .

TAXI - The World's Leading Independant A&R Company has done a complete review on Richard's CD "Point of View".
Richard:
Overall packaging on this led me to expect a more country kind of vibe - this feels more pop in a folk influenced way.
Overall, well put together and well played - instrumentation is cool - not as down the middle as might be expected - but has a good feel in presentation.
Vocal has a good tone and delivery - pleasant to listen to.
Lyrically seems on the generalized side in terms of development and theme - I sort of get a vague sense of what song is about but it seems like a bit more detail and specific situational exposition may help the listener get more emotionally involved with the song.
For instance, just in the first verse: obsessed about what? what game? and refuse to believe what who says?
The title / hook, "Run Like the River" seems a bit vague in addressing those things also.
STYLE
Threw me off a bit at first when I heard the sound here - the production feels more eclectic pop than packaging.
MELODY
Has a flow - moves with structure and feel well. Could perhaps kick a bit more someplace in order to lift arrangement a bit more, but overall OK.
STRUCTURE
Like the melody, seems to do the job in an efficent manner - has a good basic feel but could possibly use a bit more dynamic imperative somewhere.
LYRIC
Nothing stood out to me as being particularly of track anywhere in the flow of this lyric - but nothing particularly stood out to as saying something unique and attention grabbing either - has sort of an easy flow and works in context of track - sort of typifies what might be called an "easy listening" vibe.
TITLE
Works in the context of approach and development of song.
